Unfulfilled
She stands before me,
Resplendent in all things.
The burning embers
Within me ignite and
The flames of my desire
Rage hotly beneath the surface.
Wanting and needing her,
My passion rising to a fevered pitch.
Images of our bodies in unison;
Sounds filling the dense air enveloping us.
Love's sweet scent filling my mind
Making my body yearn for more.
Her touch makes me tremble,
Tearing down my barriers,
Allowing her to embrace
And caress my very soul.
But I am not blind to the realities
Of my disconcerted mind.
Fearing to even reach out
And share my truth,
Our dreams lie scattered on
The barren wasteland of
My craven heart.
Unfulfilled.
